HACU’s 2012 Annual Conference has pre- and post- conference workshop sessions available, conducted by the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Oct. 20, 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Presidential Leadership and Management Seminar: Title IV Programs

The U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid’s School Experience Group will discuss Title IV programs for presidents/CEOs of Minority-Serving Institutions, compliance issues, student success measures and critical data for achieving institutional goals.

Oct. 23, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

U.S. Census Bureau 2011 Statistics on Ethnicity and Ancestry in the Hispanic Population

The U.S. Census will present the latest demographic figures and data tools available on www.census.gov for research purposes. The session will have two sections: from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., discussions on data followed by a short coffee break, and from 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., a presentation from the bureau’s Human Resource office on the work with HACU’s National Internship Program.
