HACU president to speak at UNLV on Hispanic higher education

HACU president and CEO Antonio R. Flores will speak at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) on November 5, from noon to 2 p.m., and will address the state of Hispanic higher education, Hispanic-serving institutions, and the role of HACU as an advocate for both. Invited attendees of the event will consist of educators, elected officials and supporters of Hispanic higher education.

Dr. Flores will be joined by UNLV president Neal J. Smatresk and Luis Valera, Vice President, UNLV Office of Diversity Initiatives & Government Affairs. A question and answer session will follow Flores’ remarks.




  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
