HACU visits Chicago to kick off Annual Conference planning efforts

Today the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) held its first meeting in Chicago with the Host and Planning Committee of HACU’s 27th Annual Conference. Nearly forty individuals representing universities, education and federal partners, and corporations attended the meeting held at the Hilton Chicago.

The main topic of discussion was HACU’s 2013 Annual Conference, which is the association’s premier conference on Hispanic higher education that will take place on October 26-28.

The theme of the conference will be “Championing Hispanic Higher Education: Securing the American Dream.”

Members of the Host and Planning Committee are key to the success of the annual conference, as they provide local support and serve on subcommittees to review presentations, suggest keynote speakers and entertainment, and provide promotional support.
