HACU accepting 2013 Hall of Champions nominations

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced that nominations for the HACU Hall of Champions will be accepted through April 12, 2013. Nominations must be received online or postmarked by 5 p.m. (CDT).

The HACU Hall of Champions honors those who embody the mission of the Association through exemplary efforts "To Champion Hispanic Success in Higher Education."

Any individual can submit a nomination that meets the eligibility criteria:

  • Nominees may be living or deceased.
  • Nominees must have made extraordinary contributions to Hispanic higher education over a significant period of time.
  • Nominations shall document nominees' accomplishments in Hispanic higher education.

Following the selection process, a decision will be announced in August. The individual selected will be inducted during the association's 2013 Annual Conference October 26-28, 2013 in Chicago, Ill.
