HACU National Internship Program brings diversity to corporations
Seven leading corporations are hosting university students this summer under the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Internship Program.
A total of 28 students have received paid internships at Aetna, Deloitte, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, Sodexo and PBS. The Ford Motor Company Fund provided interns to national non-profits, including: HACU, League of United Latin American Citizens, Cuban American National Council, and United States Hispanic Leadership Institute. "The HACU National Internship Program is an ideal opportunity for college and university students to work at leading corporations and organizations before they graduate," said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. "Many of the student interns are Hispanic, and their talents and skills help contribute to workplace diversity at the organizations that host them.”
Since the inception of The HACU National Internship Program in 1992, the program has had more than 10,000 participants that have interned at federal and corporate sites nationwide.
