HACU president to speak at events this week across the country

In the week leading up to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities' (HACU) 27th Annual Conference, HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores will speak at three events and address topics related to Hispanics and higher education attainment and the workforce.

On October 21, Flores will give the welcoming remarks at the ¡Adelante! U.S. Education Leadership Fund's 2013 Annual Leadership Institute Awards Gala in San Antonio, Texas. The gala will host 180 ¡Adelante! scholars representing 57 colleges and universities from across the country.

On Oct. 23, Flores will speak at the Sixth Annual Travelers EDGE 2013 Partner Symposium in Hartford, Conn. on the theme "Links and Leaks in the Pipeline," and will discuss HACU's efforts in advancing Hispanic success in higher education and beyond into the workforce.

On Oct. 25, Flores will be a keynote speaker at the Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees 26th Annual Hispanic State Employees Training Conference/Job Fair, which will bring together 500 state employees and community advocates for information exchanges, professional development and upward mobility strategies.
