2013-2014 HACU Scholarships and Leadership Award recipients

HACU scholarships totaling $72,200 were recently awarded to students for the 2013-2014 academic year. Through the support of its partners, the following scholarships were awarded under the HACU Scholarship Program: Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship, NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award, Travelers Scholarship and the United Health Foundation Scholarship, an award which included a scholarship to HACU’s 2013 Student Track of HACU’s Annual Conference.

In addition to the scholarships awarded, Bernardo Ross of Texas A&M University, College Station, was awarded the Deloitte Jorge Caballero Student Leadership Award in the amount of $10,000.

The scholarship application period for the 2014-2015 academic year will open in the spring of 2014 through the end of May 2014. Information will be provided at www.hacu.net/scholarships.
