HACU summer internships deadline approaching

The March 3 deadline for the summer session of the HACU National Internship Program is rapidly approaching. The fall internship program dates are: May 30 – Aug. 8, 2014, and June 16 – Aug. 22, 2014 for students who attend institutions that operate on a quarter calendar. Internship locations are in Washington, D.C., and field locations within the U.S. The program is open to all majors. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
• enrollment in a degree-seeking program at an accredited institution. Students pursuing only a credential or certificate will be considered ineligible.
• completion of freshman year of college before the internship begins
• authorization or eligibility to work in the United States by law

The HACU National Internship Program has placed more than 10,000 students in internships since its inception in 1992. The internships provide talented Hispanic and other minority students with opportunities to develop career and professional skills while receiving financial support to help motivate them towards graduation.
