Engineering, business, PR, sports marketing majors are among those that can apply for a NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award 

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is accepting applications for the $2,200 NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. Award.  Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and attending a four-year HACU-member institution in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina, and with a declared major in:

  • engineering
  • business
  • public relations
  • mass media
  • sports marketing
  • marketing
  • management
  • technology

Individuals selected for the award are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for NASCAR press purposes. NASCAR and its partners help nurture new talent and raise awareness of the industry's efforts to increase diversity and attract the best minds in America, and encourage students to apply to the NASCAR Diversity Internship Program.

Application deadline for the NASCAR/Wendell Scott Sr. award is Friday, May 30, 2014.
