HACU hosts pre-conference sessions at Capitol Forum in DC

HACU Capitol Forum attendees had an opportunity to attend two preconference workshops, including a U.S. Department of Agriculture Listening Session and a Federal Funding Opportunities Workshop.

The USDA session was a public meeting held for stakeholders regarding NIFA’s Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) Education Grants Program that included a presentation on the impact of the program. The feedback received will help to identify priorities for new grant programs and/or to modify priorities for existing grant programs, as described in their Requests for Applications (RFA).

The Federal Funding Opportunities workshop included presentations from federal agencies that work on grants and can help provide additional information about funding opportunities. The presenters were from the Office of Naval Research HBCU/MI Programs; National Endowment for the Humanities, Division of Education Programs; National Endowment for the Humanities, Research Division; and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy.
