HACU president gives keynote at Hope College Upward Bound 45th Anniversary Gala

HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores gave the keynote address at Hope College TRiO Upward Bound college-readiness program, celebrating its 45th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, May 17.

The program is one of the oldest continuous Upward Bound programs in the country, and has been administered through Hope since its inception.  In addition to being supported by the college, it has received funding through the federal TRiO program every year since it began in 1968. The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
