College students intern at corporate and non-profits as part of the
HACU National Internship Program
A total of 43 students have received internship positions with corporations that have partnered with the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) to offer college students real world experience.
As part of the summer internship session, students representing 32 national colleges and universities are working alongside professionals from the following leading corporations: Altria, BBVA Compass, Chick-Fil-A, Deloitte, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, GE, Goldman Sachs, Home Depot, Monsanto, PBS, Sodexo and Wyndham Worldwide.
The companies that are hosting five or more interns include Deloitte (7), GE (7), Sodexo (6) and BBVA Compass (5). The Ford Motor Company Fund has also made it possible to offer five students the opportunity to gain experience at non-profit organizations, including HACU.
Throughout the years, the HACU National Internship Program has helped many students gain employment. Four students were recently offered employment by their host corporations. They include: Parth Shah, Illinois Institute of Technology, Deloitte; Julio Yela, University of Connecticut, GE; Michelle Alen, Rutgers the State University of New Jersey, Newark Campus, GE; and Jorge Cepeda, The University of Texas at El Paso, Home Depot.

Since the inception of the HACU National Internship Program in 1992, the program has placed more than 10,000 interns at federal and corporate sites nationwide.
