Chair and co-chair re-elected to HACU’s Corporate & Philanthropic Council

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced that its Corporate & Philanthropic Council (C&PC) has re-elected as its chair Jerrold “Jerry” S. Gattegno of Deloitte Tax LLP and as vice-chair Joseph “Joe” T. Mella of Goldman Sachs for 2014-15. The election took place at a meeting held on Oct. 6, 2014, in Denver, Colo., during HACU’s 28th Annual Conference.

 The C&PC advises and supports HACU on its engagement of private-sector corporations to advance its mission of championing Hispanic success in higher education and beyond.

"HACU is fortunate to have the leadership of Jerry Gattegno and Joe Mella as part of HACU’s Corporate & Philanthropic Council,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores.

“The re-election of Jerry Gattegno as chair and Joe Mella as co-chair will keep the momentum needed to continue advancing HACU’s corporate and philanthropic initiatives to strengthen collaboration with the private sector, particularly about preparing and launching the next generation of Hispanic professionals and leaders graduating from HACU-member institutions.”

HACU’s C&PC is composed of representatives of companies that share an interest in diversity and Hispanic higher education. The 2014-15 members also include:
