HACU and Solution Generation Strategic Partnership seeks institutions to join “Path to Positive”

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership to inspire and engage students, campuses, communities, and higher education leaders to take an active role on climate change solutions. HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores is a founding member of the Solution Generation Executive Committee, a national coalition of diverse higher education leaders on a path to a positive future for climate and energy solutions.

“Higher education institutions are vital centers of learning positioned to be able to make a significant impact on climate and sustainability practices,” said Flores. “Through institutional collaborative efforts we can ensure that our communities are on a pathway to greater sustainability and a thriving future. And because Hispanics are increasingly key to the 21st century American workforce, it is critical that we provide them the education to be leaders in addressing climate change.”

HACU encourages its member institutions to join Solution Generation and sign the Path to Positive.

When you join Solution Generation, you can take advantage of resources to help you get started on your Path to Positive with access to:

  • Free tools, talking points, plans and resources on the Solution Generation website, allowing you to customize and manage the impact and engagement activities that are right for your institution.
  • Best practices and success stories with tips and ideas from other higher education leaders who have successfully activated their campuses and communities on climate change.
  • Customizable communication templates to get your stakeholders involved.
  • An online community with news and information on events to help you connect with others and share stories to help you achieve your goals.
