HACU Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships for 2015-16, apply by April 2

HACU has partnered once again with the Denny’s Corporation to offer the Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships. HACU is one of five leading non-profit minority advocacy organizations partnering to offer scholarships to students that share the company’s goal of ending childhood hunger in local communities. Students at HACU-member institutions can apply for the Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarship ($1,000). Five college scholarships will be awarded. 

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a full or part-time undergraduate or graduate students attending a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, D.C. Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Applicants must complete a 500 word essay on how Denny's can help in the fight against childhood hunger in the United States. If notified of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a headshot electronically to HACU for Denny’s press purposes.
  • Online Applications will be accepted from Feb. 3 – April 2. Supporting documents (enrollment verification form and transcript) must be sent to HACU and postmarked no later than April 3, 2015.
