HACU partners with JCPenney to offer scholarships for st

udents majoring in the retail industry   

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced a new partnership with JCPenney to award eight scholarships to eligible students attending a HACU-member institution.

The JCPenney Leadership Excellence Scholarship awards of $2,500 are for college students pursuing careers in the retail industry. Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a four-year HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico during the 2015-16 academic year.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Majoring in Business, Retail, Supply Chain/Logistics or related major. Students with experience working in the retail industry are also strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Online application deadline is Friday, May 22, 2015
  • Supporting documents (enrollment verification form and transcript) must be sent to HACU and postmarked no later than May 22, 2015.
