HACU partnership to expand opportunities for Hispanics to study abroad in China

 

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, the Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and the 100,000 Strong Foundation are partnering to expand opportunities for Hispanic Americans to study abroad in China, with a formal MOU signing planned for later this summer.

 

The proposed partnership plans for a delegation of approximately 20 leaders of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) to participate in a 7-10 day study tour in Oct. 2015. The delegation will explore potential partnerships between HSIs and Chinese higher education institutions.

 

 



  

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, founded in 1986, represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Latin America, Spain, and school districts throughout the U.S. HACU is the only national association representing existing and emerging Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs). The Association’s headquarters are in San Antonio, Texas, with regional offices in Washington, D.C. and Sacramento, California.
