HACU on the Road visits in San Jose, Calif.

San Jose State University was the host of a "HACU on the Road" event on July 16. Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) President and CEO Antonio R. Flores spoke about the state of Hispanic higher education and STEM careers during a private gathering at the university.

The HACU on the Road tour is designed to promote national and international dialogue about Hispanic higher education.

Some of the locations the tour has visited in previous years are: Mexico City and Guanajuato, Mexico; Bogota, Colombia; Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY (N.Y.); Texas Tech University; St. Thomas University (Fla.); San Bernardino Community College District (Calif.); Maricopa County Community College District (Ariz.); Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas); Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico; University of Colorado Denver; and Northeastern Illinois University.

Past invited guests have included chancellors, presidents of colleges and universities, superintendents of Hispanic-Serving School Districts, elected officials, corporate leaders, and other supporters of Hispanic higher education.
