HACU to host its first PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium 

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) will host its first PreK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium, a pre-conference event of HACU’s 29th Annual Conference. The symposium will take place Oct. 10, 2015, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla., starting with a Welcome and Networking Reception on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m.

The HACU PK-12/Higher Education Collaboration Symposium will include discussions on successful models of collaboration leading to systemic change emphasizing matriculation, retention and graduation of minority students, as well as on opportunities for collaborations.

The event benefits higher education leaders, PreK-12 administrators and other community stakeholders by promoting and empowering communities in implementing collaborative practices using the resources and connections highlighted during the symposium.
