Applications for HACU's spring and summer 2016 internship program now open

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Internship Program opened applications for its spring and summer 2016 sessions Aug. 10, 2015.

The spring internship program dates are Jan. 14 - April 30, 2016, for a total of 15 weeks; the summer internship dates are June 3 - Aug. 13, 2016, and June 17 - Aug. 27, 2016 (the latter dates are for students at institutions operating on a quarter calendar).

Most corporate internships are offered in the summer sessions. Federal internships are offered year round. Internship locations are in Washington, D.C., and at field locations throughout the U.S.

The program is open to all majors, including the following:

  • Cartography
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Finance
  • Foreign Languages
  • Geography
  • Graphic Design
  • Human Resources
  • History
  • International Relations
  • Library Resources

  • Military and Foreign Affairs
  • National Security Studies
  • Nutrition
  • Physical Sciences

Since the inception of the HACU National Internship Program in 1992, the program has placed more than 11,000 interns at federal and corporate sites nationwide and many of these internships have led to subsequent full-time employment.
