Flores speaks on Hispanic education at Congressional Briefing Series in Washington, DC

Joining national leaders and experts, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) President and CEO Antonio R. Flores served on the Congressional Briefing Series panel hosted by the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute on Sept. 17 at Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Congressional Briefing Series led discussions on diversity and education, two issues pertinent to the Hispanic community. Flores provided insight to policies shaping the future of Hispanic students.

The panel discussing on the topic of higher education and Hispanics was moderated by Belinda Garza, vice president of government relations & public engagement, Univision. Flores joined panelists, Carlos Becerra, director of federal affairs, Florida International University; Christopher L. Turner, director & head of office, Americas government affairs, Dell; and Ted Wells, vice president and chief strategy officer, STEMConnector. 

Flores is also a member of various associations including the Washington Higher Education Secretariat, the American Educational Research Association, Independent Sector, board chairman of the ¡Adelante! Leadership and Scholarship Fund and other organizations dedicated to the advancement of higher education.
