Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities announces 2015-16 governing board members

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) named five new members to its governing board. Board members serve three-year terms with the opportunity to be re-elected for a second term. A complete listing of current board members and officers can be found online at HACU’s website.

New members to HACU’s governing board include:

• Beatriz T. Espinoza, president, Coastal Bend College, Beeville, Texas.
• Nancy “Rusty” Barceló, president, Northern New Mexico College, Española, New Mexico
• James E. Brenneman, president, Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana.
• Olga Hugelmeyer, superintendent of schools, Elizabeth Public Schools, Elizabeth, New Jersey
• Joe Mella, Finance Division, Goldman Sachs, New York, New York. Representative and chair of HACU’s corporate and philanthropic council

HACU governing board members who recently completed their terms include: Rita Cepeda, chancellor emeritus, San José/Evergreen Community College District; Irene Garza, former superintendent, Seguin Independent School District; Jerry Gattegno, Senior Partner, Multistate Tax Services, Deloitte Tax LLP; Sandra V. Serrano, chancellor, Kern Community College District; and Anna Solley, former president, Phoenix College.
