Denny’s Hungry for Education essay contest to award $1,000 scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is among the nonprofit organizations partnering with Denny’s to offer the Hungry for Education Scholarships. Five scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to students at HACU-member institutions.

Eligible students that share in Denny’s goal to end childhood hunger in local communities are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be a full or part-time undergraduate or graduate students
  • Enrolled in a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Submit a 500 word essay on how Denny's can impact childhood hunger in the United States. Students notified of selection must  submit a photo headshot electronically for  press purposes.
  • Online application, essay and supporting documents (postmarked) must be received by April 29, 2016.
