HACU/Solution Generation Climate Leadership Award of $10,000, accepting applications from HACU members through June 10, 2016

The online application period for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities - HACU/Solution Generation Climate Leadership Award will be open April 11 - June 10, 2016. Notification of selection will be made by Oct. 3. 

A $10,000 award will be given to a single HACU-member institution deemed by the selection committee to have the most innovative outreach efforts to engage its campus and broader community in climate and sustainability solutions. The institution selected will receive the award on Oct. 10, during HACU’s 30th Annual Conference, Town Hall meeting in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, three runner-ups will be recognized for their important climate and sustainability work on campus.

The selection committee will review online applications based on the following criteria:

  1. Innovative Activities or Programs to Engage Your Campus on Climate Solutions. 
  2. Current or Planned Efforts to Engage the Broader Community on Climate Solutions.
  3. Specific Engagements and Efforts by Institution Leaders in Raising the Visibility of Climate Change and Sustainability Efforts.
  4. Statement of Use for the Award Funds.
