El Café del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest scholarship deadline extended

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities has announced an extended deadline for the Café Bustelo® El Café del Futuro Scholarship Essay Contest. The application period will end on June 3.   

To enter the contest, students should complete all requirements outlined in the online application located on the HACU website, and in 800 words or less, write an essay in English or Spanish responding to the following topic:

Describe how your Hispanic/Latino heritage, family and the community, in which you grew up, have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree. Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.

The scholarship opportunity is available to students who are enrolled full-time at a HACU-member institution, are 18 years old or older, of Hispanic/Latino descent and a U.S. citizen or a permanent legal resident of the country.
