HACU 15th Annual Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute agenda and speakers announced

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced the agenda of its 15th Annual Latino Higher Education Leadership Institute, a preconference event taking place on Oct. 8, from 8:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel.

The morning keynote will be given by Juliet V. Garcia, Ph.D., senior advisor to the chancellor, Community, National and Global Engagement, the University of Texas System. Activities that follow will include a career development and leadership roundtable session and a networking lunch with a keynote by Douglas Wood, Ed.D., Ford Foundation, program officer for Youth Opportunities. 

The afternoon sessions will include an afternoon keynote by Félix V. Matos Rodríguez, Ph.D., President, Queens College. The Presidents’ Panel will include Cynthia Teniente-Matson, Ph.D., president, Texas A&M, San Antonio; Gilberto J. Marxuach Torros, J.D., president Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Mike Flores, Ph.D., president, Palo Alto College, San Antonio.

HACU’s 30th Annual Conference, “30 Years of Championing Hispanic Higher Education Success,” will take place in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 8-10, 2015 and is HACU's premiere conference on Hispanic higher education.
