HACU, U.S. Department of State sign MOU

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and the U.S. Department of State on October 18, 2016, renewed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on fostering student interest in foreign affairs to help increase the diversity of candidates at the Department.

The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to provide a framework for the Participants to re-establish and continue to develop a partnership designed to increase awareness among students, faculty and staff at HACU member institutions regarding programs, activities, careers at the Department of State; and increase awareness at the Department of State about opportunities to participate in HACU activities. (Pictured below) HACU president and CEO Antonio R. Flores and Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Heather Higginbottom, Department of State, signed the MOU in Washington D.C.

 

HACU Government Relations staff members and Ambassador Arnie Chacon, Director General, Foreign Service and Human Resources were also in attendance.
