Ford scholarships presented to eight students from San Antonio colleges and universities
At the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ (HACU) 30th Annual Conference, The Ford Motor Company Fund presented eight students with a Ford scholarship of $1,000.
The recipients were among 20 San Antonio, Texas, students sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Fund to attend the HACU Student Track, a career and leadership educational event offered in conjunction with the annual conference.
The student recipients were selected for their essays on the importance of education in pursuing their dreams and how they plan to make a positive impact in their communities.
The following students received a Ford scholarship:
Brianna Caban - The University of Texas at San Antonio
Brianna Isabella Chapa - The University of Texas at San Antonio
Geovanie Ordonez - St. Mary's University
Gianini Castillo - The University of Texas at San Antonio
Idalia Alvarado - St. Mary's University
Jeanette Gutierrez - Trinity University
Maria Alvarez - Our Lady of the Lake University
Samuel Martin - San Antonio College
