HACU, KIA Motors America, Inc. accepting scholarship applications through Sept. 29

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is partnering with KIA Motors America, Inc. to award 10 scholarships to eligible students attending a HACU-member institution. A total of 34,000 in scholarships will be awarded to eligible students.

The KIA Motors America, Inc. Scholarships awards of $3,400 are for students in any major and first generation college students are encouraged to apply. Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior at a four-year HACU-member institution or a full-time graduate student at a HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico during the 2017-18 academic year
  • Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Open to all majors
  • U.S. Citizen
  • First generation college students are also strongly encouraged to apply
  • An essay of a minimum of 500 words must be submitted with the application

September 29, 2017, 11:59 p.m. CST is the deadline for online applications.
