University of the Incarnate Word received the HACU/ Solution Generation Climate Leadership Award

The Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) President and CEO Antonio R. Flores who is also a ecoAmerica board member along with William Flores, former HACU board member presented the HACU/Solutions Generations Climate Leadership Award as part of the HACU 31st Annual Conference that took place at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. 


The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas was presented with $10,000 for their proposal for achieving the broadest, most innovative, and most effective outreach effort towards engaging the campus and broader community in climate and sustainability solutions.

“The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities applauds the efforts made by the University of the Incarnate Word in working towards making a difference in their community,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores. “HACU is committed to addressing the impact of climate change on Latinos and their communities, and current and incoming college students as well as recent graduates lead the way in responding to these challenges."
