FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Latino Students to benefit from Coors’ $40,000 Donation to the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Donation presented in Phoenix at Coors Light Gira Onda Norteña featuring popular Norteño group Los Tucanes de Tijuana Phoenix (November 18, 2005) – The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) a “With help from the contributions of Coors, we can continue to provide scholarships, educational and career programs for Latinos in the “The CLASE scholarship program is a great opportunity for Coors and HACU to fulfill a need in the Latino community,” said Olga Garcia, corporate relations manager for Coors Brewing Company. “Giving back to the community is something we feel strongly about at Coors Brewing Company and we’re proud of our association with an organization that makes a tremendous difference helping Latino students reach their potential.” To qualify for a $1,000 CLASE Scholarship, students must be 21 or older and full-time or part-time graduate students in the U.S. including Puerto Rico at one of HACU’s over 450 member institutions with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students in all disciplines are encouraged apply. Applications will be available beginning in January on-line at http://www.hacu.net/. The deadline for applications is May 28, 2006. Scholarships will be awarded in the summer for the 2006-2007 School Year.
