College Quiz show airs on Hispanic Heritage Month
Eight HACU-member institutions will be showcased nationwide when the “Know Your Heritage -- Hispanic College Quiz Show” series airs during Hispanic Heritage Month beginning Sept. 13, 2008 through Nov. 9, 2008. Click on the link to watch a video of the show. View a program schedule here.
If your local station is airing this show, be sure to tune in and watch as teams of four students test their knowledge of Latino history and compete for a chance to win scholarships. The series consists of four half-hour quiz shows. The following HACU-member colleges and universities will be featured:
The intent of this series, produced by Central City Productions, is: to promote positive images of Latino students on television; to foster greater knowledge of Hispanic culture by sharing information about it; and to inspire people of all ages to have an appreciation for the Latino contributions to the way of life all Americans (and citizens of other nations. The series will be hosted by NBC news anchor Zoraida Sambolin.
