HACU partners with Texas Public Radio in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month

HACU will partner with Texas Public Radio and local sponsors, when they celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a live presentation of Selected Shorts in San Antonio. Show host Isaiah Sheffer, actress Sonia Manzano, and actor Jesse Borrego will read short fiction by a diverse trio of contemporary Latin authors. 

Students from San Antonio area HACU-member institutions will be among those attending the event taking place on Friday, September 25th at 7 p.m., at Jefferson High School Auditorium.

The program will include: Selected Readings from John Phillip Santos and Frances Santos; "Don't You Blame Anyone" by Julio Cortázar read by Isaiah Sheffer; "Two Words" by Isabel Allende read by Soñia Manzano; and "The Man Who Found a Pistol" by Rudolfo Anaya
