U.S. Secretary of Education confirms attendance at Capitol Forum

Secretary Duncan will speak on Tuesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. (He was originally scheduled to speak on Monday, April 4 at 11 a.m.) He is expected to address the Obama Administration’s vision on education reform, including the reauthorization of Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), and the Administration’s efforts around college access and completion.
The Capitol Forum takes place April 4-5 at the Westin Washington D.C. City Center. Other confirmed speakers include: Juan Sepúlveda, White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans; Joan Wodiska, National Governors Association; The Honorable Raúl Grijalva, AZ; The Honorable Michael Honda, CA; Ron Painter, National Association of Workforce Boards; Dr. Richard Fry, Pew Hispanic Center; Dr. Gabriela D. Lemus, U.S. Department of Labor; and other leaders from the public and non-profit sectors.
