Flores delivers keynote speech at HCCC commencement in New Jersey

Antonio R. Flores delivered the keynote address at the Hudson County Community College (HCCC) spring commencement ceremony on May 26 at 6 p.m. in New Jersey.

Flores is the third and longest-serving president and CEO of HACU and has served in this capacity for the past 15 years. He has worked tirelessly to advance Hispanic higher education success nationally and strengthen international higher education collaborations. This year marks the 25th Anniversary for HACU. The association’s founding in San Antonio will be commemorated during its annual conference, October 29-31, 2011.

Flores holds undergraduate degrees in business administration and elementary education from Universidad de Guadalajara and Centro Normal Regional, Mexico, respectively; a Master of Arts degree in counseling and personnel from Western Michigan University; and a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

HCCC is a HACU-member institution and its President Glen Gabert is a member of the HACU Governing Board. This year marks the 33rd Commencement exercises for HCCC.
