The  Capitol Forum concluded last week in Washington, D.C., where leaders of HACU member and partner colleges and Universities joined public policymakers, key federal agency leaders, allied organization, corporate, community and philanthropic representatives to make Hispanic higher education a priority in Congress.

HACU's Scholarship Program Deadline Extended
Students from HACU member institutions can apply on-line for the scholarships that HACU will offer for the 2006-2007 Academic Year.  The deadline to apply on-line has been extended to May 26, 2006 and a new scholarship was added.

HACU and Nelnet Remind Seniors to Submit FAFSA
The FAFSA is the key to financial aid; seniors must fill out a FAFSA to be considered for any federal aid, and in some occasions, school aid. The FAFSA collects information regarding family income and other factors to determine student aid eligibility. Nelnet and HACU offer FAFSA assistance.
