U.S. Secretary Margaret Spellings' Higher Education Action Plan
Margaret Spellings launched her Higher Education Action Plan in response to the report recently submitted by her Higher Educaiton Commission, "A Test of Leadership."  In her address to the National Press Club she focused on three key areas: accessibility, affordability, and accountability. (more)

The National Symposium on Postsecondary Student Success
HACU is co-sponsoring this Symposium hosted by the National Postsecondary Education Cooperative (NPEC) and its funding agency, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).  The Symposium is a rare opportunity to examine all aspects of postsecondary student success and all points of view on the topic. 2007 HACU National Internship Program (HNIP) Spring and Summer Sessions

Professor John F. Alderete joins the Mexican Academy of Sciences
Dr. Alderete was the founding chair of HACU's Health Sciences Advisory Council and helped raise HACU's profile with organizations such as the Society for the Advancement of Chicano and Native Amercians in Science and the National Instituties of Health.  (more)
