Northeastern Illinois University Names New President

Northeastern Illinois University, a HACU-member institution since 1991, has named Dr. Sharon K. Hahs as its new president.  Dr. Hahs has more than 30 years experience in higher education and most recently served as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Director of Special Projects at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, Illinois.  (more)

Call for Papers for HACU's 7th International Conference

The deadline has been extended to December 21 for the Call for Presentations for HACU's upcoming 7th International Conference in Alcala de Henares, Spain.  As a presenter, you will be notified of your paper's acceptance by February 15, 2007.  Click here for criteria in submitting your proposals.

Upcoming HACU Symposium Dec. 11-12

"Education for Peace:  Dialogue of Cultures" is the title of an upcoming symposium December 11-12 sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science of Spain (MEC) and HACU.  The symposim will be held at the Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills, California. It is part of HACU's collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in the U.S. and will feature both Spanish and U.S. keynote speakers and panelists.  Click here for more information and to view complete agenda.  (more)
