Presidents to lead delegations in D.C.
On April 15th, college and university presidents participating in HACU's Capitol Forum will be among the leaders of delegations to meet with select members of Congress to discuss HACU’s legislative and funding requests for Fiscal Year 2009 and beyond. The troubled state of the economy and state budget cuts make this a critical year for federal support of higher education, particularly of the lesser endowed and underfunded institutions.
We encourage you to sign up to attend this year’s Capitol Forum and the visits to Capitol Hill. Capitol Forum Online Registration is available here.
If you are a college or university president, or CEO interested in leading a delegation at this year's Capitol Forum, please contact us. Your leadership and support to persuade key members of Congress to restore and increase funding for HSIs and other crucial programs is needed. For more information, please contact Rosa Garcia (rgarcia@hacu.net, (202) 261-2090), or David Romo (dromo@hacu.net, (202) 261-2091).
