The White House Fellows Program. Applications will only be accepted online system and must be submitted no later than February 1st, 2010 at 11:59 EST. 

The Summer Undergraduate Minority Research Program from underrepresented minority groups, or anyone interested in exploring the field of health services research. Deadline Feb 1.

Knowledge River Scholars Program call for applications to begin the program summer 2010. Individuals with knowledge of, experience with, and sensitivity to at least one Native American or Hispanic group AND who want to be library and information professionals are encouraged to apply. Make sure your campus community is counted in 2010 Census
HACU has partnered with the U.S. Census Bureau to support an accurate and complete count of Hispanics in the U.S. The 2010 Census will shape our country for the next 10 years, with funding implications for HACU members as well as the re-apportionment of Congressional delegates. A toolkit for reaching campus and university students is available. Download materials to support this effort by assuring a complete count of your campus community and assisting in the outreach efforts to your service area.

HACU on the Road tour resumes
The HACU on the Road will make various visits in 2010 beginning with an international visit to Mexico in late January and followed by several Texas campus visits. More>>

HACR Corporate Inclusion Index released
The Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility recently releasedits Corporate Inclusion Index. HACU is among the 13 Coalition Members of HACR.Amidst the current economic climate, the survey shows the commitment by some corporations to include Hispanics in their workforce and the value they place on a diverse workforce. On the other hand, the survey sheds a tremendous light on the work that many companies still have yet to do to ensure that Hispanics are represented at all levels of their companies. PDF.
