HACU awards more than $100,000 in scholarships
HACU has announced the recipients of its Scholarship Program for the 2011-12 academic year. A total of $109,000 is being awarded to 30 students attending HACU-member institutions. More>>

HACU announces free webinar on new mathematics resources HACU will be among the presenters of a free webinar offered to HACU-member institutions about Developmental Math-An Open Program. The informative webinar will focus on providing information about new mathematics resources for developmental educators. The webinar will take place on Thursday, December 8, at 2 p.m. EDT. More>>
JCOC encourages nominations of college presidents The Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC) program is currently accepting nominations, with strong consideration being given to presidents of colleges and universities. The program is sponsored by the Secretary of Defense for civilian public opinion leaders interested in growing their knowledge of the military and national defense issues. The nomination process will officially close on Dec. 16, 2011. More>>
Student e-internships offered by the Department of State Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS) is piloting a program through HACU to offer students from Hispanic-Serving Institutions the opportunity to serve as virtual interns (eInterns) for U.S. diplomatic posts in the Americas and offices in the Western Hemisphere Affairs Bureau. VSFS eInternships are unpaid internships with the U.S. Department of State. Applications are on rolling basis. More>>

English as a Second Language offered through the HACU/UNM English Immersion Program The HACU-UNM English Immersion Program will provide high quality, non-credit English training for professional administrators, instructors, and students of Latin America and Spain.
Early Bird deadline in February The early bird registration rate for HACU's 17th Annual National Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education is currently available through February 17. The Capitol Forum will take place on March 26-27, 2012 at The Westin Washington, D.C., City Center. Register Here>>
HACU seeking students for paid summer internships
The Summer 2012 HACU National Internship Program is accepting student applications. The summer session will take place June 1 - Aug. 11 for the standard program. The dates for students who attend institutions on a quarterly calendar will be June 18 - Aug. 25. Application deadline is March 30. More>>
