HACU Member Advisory--November 22, 2004 New Army funding opportunities for HSIs Focus of December meeting in Registration deadline: Nov. 27 The Army is hosting a national conference December 13-15 for Hispanic-Serving Institutions and other Minority Institutions to introduce new research, infrastructure development and engineering grant and contracting opportunities. Please note that the registration deadline is November 27. HACU urges HSIs to attend this important meeting to position HSIs to secure important new federal funding resources. Please forward this HACU Member Advisory to senior staff, research and program directors, and urge them to register by November 27. About the conference: The U.S. Army Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Office (SADBU) will host the Army Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions Conference December 13-15, 2004, at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel in The national conference is also designed to strengthen the capacity of Minority Serving Institutions to participate in Army contracting and grants programs that support core mission requirements in research, development and engineering.
