"Class of 2020: Graduate!” Art Contest
Opens: Sept. 1, 2011
Artwork Deadline: Extended to Oct. 5, 2011
Eighth graders in school districts within the greater San Antonio area are invited to submit artwork that visually answers the theme, “My future depends on my education. And when I grow up I want to be ________.”
With today’s eighth graders destined to be the college graduating class of 2020, this art contest is an opportunity for students to illustrate their vision of their educational future. A selection of the entries will be used in an art exhibit that will showcase how this generation sees itself meeting President Obama’s goal of the U.S. having the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020.
All eighth graders attending school in the San Antonio area are eligible to participate. Schools eligible to participate are listed below.
