HACU supports ACCESS in Mental Health Act to increase diversity in the mental health workforce

HACU is among the organizations supporting the Advancing Culturally Competent and Equitable Supportive Services (ACCESS) in Mental Health Act, which would provide more Black and Brown mental health professionals who are equipped to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. More>>

HACU has released an analysis of the 2022-23 Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) enrollment data, which shows an increase in the number of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) and continued growth in Hispanic student enrollment at colleges and universities. More>>

HACU has announced speakers, agenda, workshops of its 14th International Conference

HACU has announced the speakers of its 14th International Conference, taking place June 3-5, 2024, at the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. The three-day conference includes twenty-four concurrent workshops under the conference theme “Innovation and Technology for an Inclusive and Diverse Workforce,” in four tracks. May 9 Deadline for two of HACU's 2024-25 Leadership Programs is near

HACU is accepting applications for its Leadership Academy/La Academia de Liderazgo. The Leadership Academy prepares senior higher education administrators at colleges and universities nationwide for top leadership roles at Hispanic-Serving Institutions, emerging HSIs and other institutions of higher learning. HACU's Enlace Mid-Level Leadership program is a six-month development experience for college and university professionals serving around the mid-level of their organizations. Deadline to apply to both programs is May 3, 2024.

Senator Laphonza Butler joins the U.S. Senate Hispanic-Serving Institutions Caucus

HACU is pleased to have Senator Laphonza Butler (Calif.) join the Senate Hispanic-Serving Institution Caucus. This initiative aims to keep Members of Congress and their staff informed about the value and impact of HSIs in their districts and communities. More>>
