JOINT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE GUADALAJARA, MEXICO
HISPANIC ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (HACU) THE ORGANIZERS AND HOSTS HACU, IOHE, and CONAHEC will hold for the first time a joint international conference that will be historical in bringing together the voices of 1,000 universities throughout the huge intercontinental region from Canada to Chile and Argentina. HACU currently represents a total of 452 higher education institutions from the United States, Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. HACU is particularly strong in the The voice of the universities representing the academic sector of all of the Americas will be of outstanding power and influence and will be heard by political, social and educational leaders from every country of this extensive region. It is indeed a unique opportunity for the three organizations and for their member institutions. Some member institutions belong to all three organizations, others belong to two of them and, finally, some belong to only one of them. This means that the institutions that belong to the three organizations will attend only one meeting instead of three in the year of 2009. The institutions that belong to two organizations will attend one meeting instead of two in 2009, and the ones belonging to only one organization, by the mere fact of attending this inter-continental conference, will have the extraordinary opportunity of networking with all the attending institutions representing the three organizations. The Universidad Autónoma Guadalajara, the Universidad de Guadalajara, the Universidad de Guanajuato and the Universidad Veracruzana and other universities from Guadalajara and other parts of Mexico will contribute significantly to the success of this extraordinary conference.
