New Partnership with Jalima Coffee

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is pleased to announce a new strategic alliance with Jalima Coffee.  Jalima Coffee’s mission is “to provide coffee products of unsurpassed quality and flavor.  We operate in a fashion that highlights our commitment to the quality of our products, the quality of life for the people who produce them, and the quality of the environment where they are produced.”

The new alliance allows students, alumni, faculty and staff of HACU member colleges and universities to purchase Jalima Coffee at a 20% discount off the retail price.  In addition, HACU member institutions and their retailers and vendors can receive a discount off the regular wholesale price.  A rebate on all sales through the alliance will also support HACU’s work to champion Hispanic higher education.

Jalima imports their specialty organically grown coffees from Chiapas and Veracruz, Mexico.   Part of their commitment to social responsibility includes “helping the farmers to find ways to ensure the sustainability of not only the means to their survival but of the environment that is crucial to the protection and preservation of our fragile ecosystem.”

As our new partners at Jalima point out, coffee is “a beverage that has become a part of our daily lives and social interactions.”   We at HACU have been enjoying Jalima Coffee in the office for the last few months.  We hope you will too!
