Groups from across the spectrum of American ethnic, minority and genealogically-based organizations recently came together on the National Mall in Washington, DC to call for establishment of the National Museum of the American People that would tell the story of all of the American People.

Leaders of 11 organizations, including HACU, are represented in a video made up of American Indians, Scottish Americans, African Americans, Daughters of the American Revolution, German Americans, Hispanic Americans, Irish Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Jewish Americans, Polish Americans and Indian Americans. There are more than 50 groups and 125 organizations in the Coalition for the Nation Museum of the American People. The Coalition seeks a Presidential Commission in 2011 to study establishment of the museum.
