The 2010-2011 HACU Scholarship Application is now CLOSED.

HACU applauds your initiative in searching for a scholarship! We hope that we will be able to assist you in defraying some of your college expenditures.  Each scholarship has specific criteria, so please review each one carefully.

In addition, all scholarship applicants MUST meet the following criteria:

  1. Demonstrate financial need and be eligible for Federal Financial Aid (student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
  2. Meet specific criteria for the scholarships to which they are applying.
  3. Attend a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are completed and scholarship awards are made.  For the most up-to-date listing of HACU member institutions, please click here.

Aetna Nursing Scholarship--$2,500
Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and must be pursuing a degree in Nursing.  Students awarded this scholarship will be required to attend HACU's Annual Conference Student Track in San Diego, California, September 18-20, 2010 to be recognized as Aetna Scholars.

Deloitte Scholars Program--$2,200
Full-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Accounting. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, and must be classified as a sophomore or junior.

Lockheed Martin Scholarship Award--$2,750
Full-time undergraduate students at 4-year HACU-member institutions with declared majors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.  Students must be interested in Lockheed Martin employment opportunities and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

NASCAR/Wendell Scott Award--$12,100
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Management, or Technology.  Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0., and preference will be given to students attending school in Florida, Georgia, or North Carolina. 

Office Depot Scholarship--$1,120
Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Business, International Business, Marketing, Merchandising or Information Technology.

United Health Foundation Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Scholarship--$2,000
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Clinical Psychology, Dental Technician, Nursing, (Pre) Optometry, (Pre) Dental, (Pre) Medicine, (Pre) Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Public Health, Mental Health, Behavioral Health. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Recipients will be required to submit a professional resume and participate in a pre and post scholarship survey.

HACU/Wal-Mart Achievers Scholarship--$1,000
Full-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions (mainland U.S. only: excludes Puerto Rico members) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Business Administration, General Management, Retail Management, Food Merchandising, or related majors. Students must possess an interest in retail and preferably be working while attending school.

Application Deadline: May 28, 2010. Supporting documents (enrollment verification form and transcript) must be postmarked no later than May 28, 2010.
