The HACU Scholarship Program 2009-2010 is now CLOSED.
HACU applauds your initiative in searching for a scholarship! We hope that we will be able to assist you in defraying some of your college expenditures. Each scholarship has specific criteria, so please review each one carefully.
However, all scholarship recipients MUST meet all the following criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Meet the specified criteria for the scholarship to which they are applying to.
- Be attending a HACU-member institution (excluding international members) both when applications are completed and when scholarship awards are made. For the most up-to-date listing of HACU member institutions, please click here.
Aetna Nursing Scholarship--$2500
Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions and with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students must be pursuing a career in Nursing. Students awarded this scholarship will be required to attend HACU's Annual Conference Student Track in Orlando, Florida, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2009 to be recognized as Aetna Scholars.
Bridging the GAP for Hispanic Success Award--$1000
Gap, Inc., will award full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions with declared majors in Merchandise Management, Retail Management, Fashion Design or Related Fields. Student must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
The Chrysler Foundation Scholarship Award--$1980
Full-time undergraduates in a 2- or 4-year HACU-member institution with a declared major in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Design, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, General Business. Student must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
General Motors Engineering Excellence Award--$2000
Full-time undergraduate students at 4-year HACU-member institutions with declared majors in an Engineering degree program may apply. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Lockheed Martin Scholarship Award--$2800
Full-time undergraduate students at 4-year HACU-member institutions with declared majors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Student must be interested in Lockheed Martin employment opportunities and possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
NASCAR/Wendell Scott Award--$1500 undergraduate; $2000 graduate
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Marketing Management and Technology. Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be attending school in the following states: FL, NC and GA.
Office Depot Scholarship--$1000
Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Business, International Business, Marketing, Merchandising or Information Technology.
The Home Depot Scholarship Award--$3520
Full-time undergraduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Supply Chain and Logistics, Finance or Information Technology.
United Health Foundation Scholarship--$2000
Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Health Sciences or Allied Health. Student must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above.
Wachovia Scholars Program--$1000
Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
Wal-Mart Achievers Scholarship--$1000
Full-time undergraduate students attending a 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions (mainland U.S. only: excludes Puerto Rico members) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Business Administration, General Management, Retail Management or Food Merchandising. Students must possess an interest in retail and preferably be working while attending school.
