The U.S. Department of State's Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program will soon open its online application for students participating in credit-bearing study abroad programs and international internships. The Scholarship Program is an undergraduate grant program for U.S. citizens of limited financial means to enable them to study abroad, thereby internationalizing their outlook and better preparing them to thrive in the global economy. Fulbright U.S. Scholar - The 2023-2024 competition for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program will open in February 2022!  The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offered teaching, research and combination teaching/research awards in 137 countries for the 2023-2024 academic year. Opportunities are available for U.S. academics, administrators and professionals to teach, research, do professional projects and attend seminars abroad.  We have many resources available to applicants, including a robust series of webinars(Posted January 27, 2022)

STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES

Global Learning Semesters (GLS) - GLS offers HACU-member institutions the excellent AbroadOffice software that is now being used by over twenty universities to administer their study abroad programs.  AbroadOffice is a FREE software service provided by Global Semesters as a capacity-building endeavor to help advance the field of study abroad. AbroadOffice was initially developed during a joint initiative between HACU (the Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities) and Global Semesters with the objective of promoting study abroad for Hispanic students. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADVANCEMENT AWARDS. Website: www.semesteratsea.org.  This scholarship ($1,500 - $10,000) is intended to help international students who study outside of the US. This aid is awarded based on academic achievement, leadership experience, and financial need. The HACU-AIFS Scholarship is available for outstanding Hispanic students attending a HACU-member institution. Scholarships cover 50% of the AIFS all-inclusive program fee. Students must meet all standard AIFS eligibility requirements. Application, essay and other required documents must be submitted by March 1 for the summer session. April 15 for academic year/fall quarter/fall semester, and Sept. 15 for spring quarter/spring semester. Castilian and Leones Institute of the Language Foundation - SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSES FOR FOREIGNERS. Courses for foreigners throughout the year, at all levels, for individuals as well as groups, courses which allow students to become totally immersed in the Spanish language, courses for specific professions and courses for training teachers. IIE Interactive -American Passport Project -

SIELE is the International Spanish Language Evaluation Service which certifies electronically the command of the Spanish language. SIELE is developed by the Instituto Cervantes, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Universidad de Salamanca and the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Students and professionals take this examination in order to obtain a certification that will strengthen their academic and professional profile. SIELE is managed by Telefónica Educación Digital.
