No Title V, Part A competition in 2011

AGENCY: Office of Postsecondary Education, U.S. Department of Education

The Office of Postsecondary Education has recently announced that the Title V, Part A, Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions Program (HSI) will not be holding a new competition for fiscal year (FY) 2011. The U.S. Department of Education has been granted approval to fund down the FY 2010 HSI slate. Only applicants in FY 2010 who have applied for and received FY 2011 Designation of Eligibility and scored between 89.67 and 87.67 will be considered for funding in FY 2011. The projected scores are estimates pending final program appropriations for HSIs. The Department is not bound by this estimate. It is anticipated that institutions to be funded will be notified in early September.
